Worm tower?

I am new to gardening and new to chickens. I have been driving my husband crazy with all my research lately. I have just come across building a worm tower for each of my square foot gardens out of pvc pipe. My question is this: will my worm towers create all of the fertilizer each of my 8x4 raised beds need or will i still have to use additional fertilizer? It doesnt seem worth going this route if i still need to add fertilizer. Anyone?

How large are the towers your built? I would say that the compost in that should provide enough fertilizer...I wouldn't add any additional stuff.

My towers are about 3 feet high with 1 1/2 foot burried in the ground and they are 5 inches wide. I put two in each of my 8x4 beds. They will probably each contain 75 or so worms.

I think my worms have chosen death than to live in their towers. Every tower is empty. I added some food and am hoping somebody returns.
