Hi All,

I have a bottle of safe guard wormer that I use to worm my girls.
I was going to worm them today and noticed that the bottle
has an expiration date of 2014.

For those more experienced, what is the shelf life of safe guard?

Could I use that bottle for this year and purchase a new one next
year, or should I get a new bottle for this go around?

Thanks

There should be a month and perhaps even a day on it, as well. I can't answer you specifically about Safeguard, but I can tell you that, in general, medications are effective for several months after their expiration date. There is always a "margin of safety." It's usually considered longer for pills and capsules than for liquids.

Ok, thanks. There is a smudged 7 next to the year. I did not notice it at first.
It says 7/2014, so I think I am in good shape to use it again this year.

Thanks
