I recently wormed my chickens with Piperzine because I saw a roundworm in their poop.

So I have to throw away the eggs for approx 2 wks and then reworm, etc.
Well, wouldn't you know that one of the hens is now broody and doesn't want to get off the darn eggs.

I would have loved this another time.
Are the eggs viable??? Or would the medicine cause them to be infertile or deformed?
I pushed her off of them and threw them out - just wondering though

They're viable. They might not hatch if worms were causing her to be low on nutrition while she was forming the eggs, though.

There shouldn't be problems because of the piperazine for hatching, though.

I'd love updates, thanks!

Well I decided to run up to Jody's (hinkjc) in PA and pick up some of her BO eggs (they're really nice BOs)... so that's what's happening now. Wendy is being a good hen sitting on 7 BO eggs due out by Aug 12th.
