Worming Chickens?

Hi Everyone,

Do I need to worm my adult chickens? I was thumbing through the Wilco catalog, and they had wormer for chickens, so that got me wondering. What are the signs & symptoms of worms in chickens? I am loving my girls. I had no idea having chickens would be so much fun!

I worm my chickens when I worm the other animals, we worm with Ivermectin Drench for Cattle

Darn I can't remember...


Hmm... someone will post it for you, but we do it at night.. and we sneak in and fill up little syringes and dab them with the drench on the skin. It comes premixed up for cattle and you use it off label for chickens.

I’m confused. I use this topically (a few drops per bantam) for lice/mites...does it worm this way or does it have to be dosed in their water?
