Worming during breeding- good or bad?

Does worming have any affect on egg laying? If I worm my peas now before egg laying starts (probably right before) does that affect the eggs or the hen in any adverse way?

It is more important that the hens do not have a parasite load during the egg laying season. Using Safeguard or Valbazen has shown no ill effects in my birds laying although I deworm well ahead of the season and also in the fall after the season is over.

Thanks for the reply - I did a fecal float (learning) and didn’t see anything alarming.
