Hi all.
Thanks for the tips on the hen we lost earlier this week. Sounds like it was a combination of worms and fly strike
Visited the local feed store to stock up on supplies, so here's my plan and question:
I've never wormed before, so today I'm scouring the coop, dirt, and spraying everything with diluted bleach water -- suggested by the feed folks since we aren't completely certain what the hen died of.
Will do Wazine today for worms.
In two weeks, will do a treatment of Corid for 5 days.
Then, two weeks later Wazine again.
My question is whether or not I need to follow the second treatment of Wazine with a broad spectrum wormer? I've been doing some reading on the boards about Safeguard...and dawg talked about the liquid he uses on the skin which I think was a broad spectrum wormer, too. After the two rounds of Wazine and the Corid, do you think I'll need a broad spectrum wormer? Again, I've never wormed my girls before and they're two years old.
Thanks!
Stacey
