Hi all,
I have been noticing that my chickens are losing weight, and also their poo is more green than usual.. They seem to be eating alright, maybe a little less than usual though. Are these symptoms of worms? I got some wazine from the tractor supply nearby, in case it is worms.
thanks for reading! I appreciate your help

Yes, the green diarrhea and losing weight are signs of worms. Also check for mites/lice. Greenish poo means they aren't eating much I have read.

Be aware that there is an egg withdrawal period with wormers where you toss the eggs.

I would like to add that wormers are very hard on hens. It is also the time of year that they molt. Some vets will do a fecal test for worms for a small fee and then you would be able to tell.

Thanks for your reply!
I checked them for mites and/or lice and I didn't spot any. All of them are getting very thin, will they be able to take the wormer if it is hard on them? I will check and see if the vets in my area do the testing. Are there any kinds of food that I can feed them that will help them?

I really don't know if they will be able to take the wormer. I have to worm my own flock for the first time tonight - spotted a worm today- I would do a search for "thin worming" on BYC search to see if you can find threads on it.
