Worming my WHOLE flock

I am curious if there is something i can use that will worm geese, chickens, ducks, and turkeys. A product that can be used for all of them. Also where i can get the wormer. And what would you recomend using. I have never wormed my birds and i really want to just in case. Please help me!

Please don't give them anything "just in case" its like giving children antibiotics just in case, it shouldn't be done, go check poop and see if there is reason to be worried before you start medicating birds that aren't sick to start with.​

if you often look at your chickens, laugh at their crazy behaviour or whatever, you'll notice a change pretty quickly, they all pretty much repeat the same kinda behaviour when they're healthy, scratching around, or perching on branches, or dustbathing, depending on season.
the sick chicken is the one who suddenly sits huddled up doing nothing, or won't come out to free-range, or goes to hide somewhere and looks unhappy!​

well i just got 8 FREE chickens yesterday and they seem to be healthy but i wasnt sure cause the lady i got them from said they hadnt laid any eggs and they are like super super thin.....i wasnt sure if it was cause of worms or what...and cant you get like worm preventatives for your chickens like you do for your cats or dogs...

Well be sure to keep them far from your own birds for at least 30 if not longer days... they might just be really hungry, you can keep feeding them and see if they start to gain a little weight. The DE will be a good idea, mixed in a dust bath area for them so they can fluff themselves with it. DE is a good prevantative, I've heard pumpkin seeds also do the trick.
I've never had to worm my animals, except kittens I got years ago from a shelter. I do dust my coop and horse barn with DE, mostly in the spring summer time. I also put cup fulls of DE in area's the chickens like to dust bath.

The stuff folks give their cats and dogs isn't a prevantative, its a poison to kill the worms.​

where can you buy DE

and i have already put them in my birds. they seemed bright and happy and not to bad. tho when i went out and gave them some bread they attacked the peices. the only thing wrong with them is their weight and they dont lay.

and i dont have a spot for them to dust right now cause of the snow...they usually dust themselves out in their run but they cant now

Interesting, perhaps I haven't had problems with my chickens because they do get garlic now and then, and we often see them scratching around the black walnut trees!
