Worming?

Ok so I have I common question that might be kinda stupid. I know alot about chickens but I am not sure about worming them being I usually don't have to deal with it but I would like to know about it for when I move to Montana In case I run into problems.
How often do you worm them?
What methods other than pumpkin are there?
Any advice on spoting hens with worms?

Not a stupid question at all!! I think there are various schools of thought on worming chickens. Some people never worm their birds. Others do so regularly. Still others only do so when they suspect a problem. Personally, I've never wormed mine although many good products are readily available to do so. I guess it comes down to personal decision. Thank you I suspected it once in a Easter egger hen but I just feed them pumpkin and she seem to get better. But I might have a problem when I move though.
