heres a great tip! worm your chickens! if your not sure how, you take a banana and cut a piece for each chicken. then take a plate with some garlic dip the banana inside the garlic and presto your done then feed each piece to each chicken (hint: make sure each chicken eats their own so they each get an equal amount)
Its safe for you and your flock and great news is you don't have to stop eating the eggs!
just be carful not to put too much and over do it because the eggs will taste like garlic.
if you have any questions please feel free to write, im posting because you should do it. its easier to prevent disease then to try and get rid of it.

While garlic may result in reducing the number of worms in a chicken, I would be interested to see any research that indicates that garlic actually kills worms or rids the chicken of them.

I wonder if it works by boosting the immune system or by making the gut inhospitable to parasites. Neither would necessarily kill the worms, just make it difficult for them to live there. :/

you see the garlic has strong acids and it will kill the worm inside the chicken and they will just come out of the vent.

If you have a low.worm burden the gut should "dissolve" dead worms. If you see worms either it is a large worm burden or they are stunned not dead worms.

Does this work if at least one of my hens have round worms? I saw it in her poop this morning. Or is it more of a preventative? Thanks

It is more of a preventative...and unproven.

Read thru some of these threads shown in the link for the search I did for you.
Look for user name Dawg53, he's very good at worming meds.
