Worms and mite

I'm fairly new to chickens and always gone with my local feed stores recommendations,
But I'd like to know what they people on here recommend for worming chickens, I've not seen worms in their poop but they seem rather thin, they are free range and get egg layer crumble plus extra goodies from us.
Also I have seen some mite and used seven dust with no luck

Have a fecal sample read for what type of (if any) worms they have so you'll know how to treat. It is rare to see them in feces without a microscope and fecal float.
For the mites, did you completely clean and treat the building and nest boxes and retreat all birds again after a week?
The extra goodies, depending on what and how much, possibly contributes to thinness.
Feed store employees rarely know much about chickens.
They do know where in the building the chicken feed is stored though.
