I just finished cleaning/sifting out my coop and kept noticing worm type things, all dead, covered in bedding mixed in with the poop. These are larger almost like earthworm/smaller nightcrawler size. They are all completely covered in bedding and really there is nothing to them when I try to remove the bedding to see it better.

There is also zero evidence of these worms in their poop thats outside in the run, only in the coop, so im doubting its the chickens having worms themselves. Any idea what these would be exactly??? Sorry they are hard to see all covered with chopped hemp but you can see the shape. 20250915_164133.jpg

I'm not sure but that looks like termite frass to me and if so, any "worms" you're seeing could be termite larvae.
I appreciate the response, I will look into that! After posting this thread I got paranoid and went back out to examine more of their poop out in the run and confirmed there really is no evidence of them having worms.

One of those "worms" I did break apart and it did seem semi larvae-ish inside but it was very hard to tell. Almost like it was just a shell of something.

I think the termite frass you may be seeing is actually just the chopped hemp bedding. Pics of frass do look similar. These wormy things are just covered in the chopped hemp.
