I have a lethargic chicken, limping, dragging the wings, so on. I’m assuming she has worms.. So my question. WHATS THE BEST DEWORMER for chickens? Natural or not taking any suggestions

Make sure that she is not dehydrated or weak from being kept away from food and water. Offer electorate, Gatorade, or water with a tsp of sugar per cup. How old is the chicken? Does she lay eggs? How does her crop feel—empty, full, soft, or hard?

As far as wormers, Valbazen 1/2 tsp orally and repeated in 10 days is good. Or you can use SafeGuard liquid goat wormer or horse paste 1/4 tsp per pound given orally for 5 straight days.

Definitely has food and water I was hand feeding her and she didn’t seem to want much not even scrambled egg I definitely made sure she got some though, I offered her electrolyte✖️and sugar water✔️, along with super B complex crushed up in water ✔️ Her crop is not full of food, she tends to over eat sometimes* shows about 20 weeks but tell doesn’t lay eggs as we are going into the winter season and we got her late summer.

How old is she?
What do you feed?

Please post photos of the hen/pullet and her poop.

A video of actions may be helpful - upload to youtube and provide a link.

Have you checked her over for any injuries, bruising, etc.?
She’s again 20 weeks old and I feed her A very high-end *and expensive might I add* all organic corn and soy free blend in the picture below (where it says supplements and treats on the back that is recommended as a treat, not in the food)I’ll get some photos of her asap

She also has no injuries or bruising but when I touch a part of her leg up near her hock she seems to flinch, The leg lifting is also not Bumblefoot or anything I’ve checked her very thoroughly (almost an hour on scanning her full body) she has nothing in or around her foot/ leg

Do you provide grit (Crushed Granite) for your birds?

Yes, S&P is expensive. Seems like a lot of folks have found if they feed those loose grain feeds they run into trouble because their birds pick out their favorite thing, leaving the rest. In turn, this can cause nutritional deficiency. Not saying this is the reason for your Pullet's problems, but it's something to consider. If you find that it is a problem - soak or ferment the loose grain feed or switch to pellets.

I'd try vitamin therapy to see if it helps.

Look forward to those photos of your birds, the pullet that's not well, her poop and perhaps a video too. :)

Still cannot get Photos as I am not home but hopefully will be soon to check up on her we do ferment it and they tend to eat all of the food not just pick out the favorite things, but there’s also dry food always available, they tend to eat not much of it as they genuinely prefer the soaked. I do provide grit and sand and they get free range of a very large area, with grass in my backyard (no pesticides of any kind in or around the yard, we even checked with some surrounding neighbors to be extra safe)

Here she is looking perky this morning.. wondering what this lump is on her face? I have work all day today so I sat her in the shade out side with food and water but all the other birds ran off for free range to get some grass She stayed put but I do have dewormer coming in the mail today! Hopefully she will bounce back soon.. I only her and possibly one other bird habe Worms.. I don’t want to worm the others as it can become ineffective later so should I watch them closely or worm them now? [ I also think they are Minorly Calcium deficient as one of my Girls beak had a tiny peal! gave them extra oyster and ground egg shells

If you're going to deworm, I'd do the whole flock.

Is she still dragging her wings and limping? Look her foot over really well for indication of a cut, bruising or swelling.

The lump on the side of the nostril could be from sticking her beak through wire, rubbing on a feeder or something like that. It's one of those things I personally wouldn't mess with, but just monitor.
