Worms?

I can suggest you Natural dewormer but at first encounter you must give a Medicine Dewormer
Because natural dewormer need 7-10 day time to start expelling the worms or kill them .

Very safe Medicine dewormer is Albendazole Suspension which will help first to expelling all the Adult worms then after second cycle when there's only Eggs last you can adminstrate the Natural Extract.

• Moringa Olifera (Drumstick Extract ) is fantastic natural dewormer ( 1 Tablet in 7 days)

• Oregano Essential Oil / Or Fresh

• Rosemary

• Wormwood

• Garlic

• Ginger

You can give anything natural as they don't have any side effects . But first to expel the adult worms .
A second dose of Albendazole 10-14 days later would take care of worm larva hatched after the initial dosing. Then your done. No need to use the so called natural worming stuff and no guesswork in dosing or effectiveness.

I freaked out! I feel stupid. I sware that photo had worms in it. Vet said no.
What I thought were worms on the chicken vent area are actually pin feathers. Seen from a distance.

No bird vets. TSC has nothing in a tri-county area. I did get a dewormer it's goat liqud - Safe-guard (Fenbendazole). It that ok? What dosage (not worming now).

Sorry no photo, but I could not hold her, check her and, take a photo. The flock checked out and look clean.

You can't tell they are going into a slight molt (7 mos old). They look fine except the Easter Egger. Hot mess.

I'm going back in my coop now. Thank you all for your advice. I am book marking this under worms it as it will be needed in the future. :bow

I'm happy for you and your chickens that everything turned out okay. It's great that you are observant with your chickens. I'm confident your chickens are going to be well cared for and are in good hands. :D

Safeguard liquid goat wormer dosage for chickens is 0.25ml (1/4ml) per pound given orally for 5 days straight. The dosage for a 5 pound hen is 1.25ml given orally for 5 days.
Just use an average weight for your birds to worm them when the time comes.

I never thought these creatures would be so cool. You are very knowledgeable about worms and I appreciate all you said. Thanks for the dosage notes.

We lived in West Palm Beach for many years and I can't image the challenges Florida brings to rasing chickens.

Yes initial round of course is important but some people always wanted to go Natural . Guesswork is always make hard situation if flock have heavily Infected with worms ..

Still natural way is good after you get rid off from every single worm as a preventative
