Worried about BYC! Anyone feel the same?

I find if I have question I get it answered, as long as we keep posting about chicken stuff people will keep talking about it, I never even knew what Rp was, I saw the threads looked in em and had too laugh cause i thought it was a joke, someone finally explained to me what it was ...and im 29, but Since the name of the site IS Back yard Chickens as long as most of the topics are relevant i dont think its too bad that the people who also know about puoltry etc, have a place to joke around and b.s ya know??

I;m on one chat thread regularly, and we chat about EVERYTHING. SOme how it always comes back to chickens, ducks, or turkeys.

I don't worry about the other threads that are games, etc. THey don't bother me because I can choose to ignore those threads and participate in those threads that are bird oriented. I am happy with the threads I frequent.

I wouldn't worry about it. I post pretty much only in the chicken-based areas of the forum, with a few side-trips into gardening. When I visit BYC, I'm not generally looking at the 'new posts' list-- that's not important to me. I just go immediately to the 'building a coop' subforum, or 'raising baby chicks', or whatever I'm thinking about that week. If other people are playing games, who cares? It isn't detracting from the more serious, poultry-related side of the forum.

I don't really think that game threads are that important (they certainly don't contribute to useful chicken info), but then again, they're not harming anyone are they? It's rare that I visit the games and jokes forum as there is so much to learn in the actual Chickens forums. But all in all, it's not really a big deal. Whoever wants to spend their time on games can do that, while the rest of us get on with our lives.
All the same, we should encourage our gamers to share the knowledge they have with the rest of us more often!
