We have a Barred Rock hen that had wry neck a few weeks ago. I coddled her for a week and hand fed her electrolytes, poly-vi-sol, vitamin E, and a mash concotion. I also massaged her neck and after a week she was back to normal. After a day or so we couldn't tell which one she was! Now, at 6 weeks old she is lethargic, left eye closes, stands up and "sleeps" and won't eat or drink on her own. She did have watery diarrea the first day we noticed her, but now its green (fairly solid) with white on top. I have fed her sugar water, poly-vi-sol, vit. E and made a mash with yogurt. She seems a little more springy but still stands there and dozes off. I am wondering if she just has a defiency and will always be a "sick" chicken or if its something else we need to be concerned of? Thank you for helping!

Disease is always a worry with any type of bird because so many diseases spread. It pays to be cautious, so consider separating this chick from the rest until you have a better idea of what is wrong.

I would google respiratory infection in chickens.
Some people here can tell more by seeing the pics of the problem.

take a good pic of her eye and posture

And definitely quarantine!
Good luck

Thanks for the info! She is better now. I think she was just not feeling good and dehydrated. I can't tell which one she was so I think we are good. Kept and eye on all the other chicks and they are good. Phew! It's stressful when they get sick!
