Do chickens have any sort of pad on their feet? I was looking at pictures of normal chicken feet while they were being held in the air so I couldn't quite tell, but it didn't look like they had any kind of pad. I'm going to have to take a closer look at my kids' feet in the morning, but I thought they had a small pad in the middle for some reason. For the record, I just looked at the recent bumble foot post so I may be extra cautious, but when looking at the feet the other day I was wondering how much of a pad was too much. I really hope I'm just overly cautious and my kids are fine

Oh, and yes pics would be nice but I didn't think to ask until it was completely dark so...no pics for now.

Breeds will probably differ, like my cochins' feet are pretty meaty, while the silkie and Polish feet are more refined.
But they definitely have some cushion underneath.

Ooh that pic helped! That's about as much pad as I saw. And as for breed I did notice that it seemed more prevalent on my Ameraucanas than on my bantams. Thanks for the help!
