I have three hens currently. One is a New Jersey Giant and the other is an White Crested Black Polish.
My New Jersey Giant which is 1 1/2yrs old has been well fed and groomed giving her baths every couple of months. I noticed she had no feathers on her chest stomach area. And currently i noticed her butt almost looks like she has feathers missing they look very very light and fluffy. I am not sure what could be the cause of that if anyone has any ideas or what she could possibly caused this would be very helpful. Im not sure if its her being broody but I remove the eggs everyday.
My White Crested Polish is 1 1/2yrs old and has the same diet and grooming as the Jersey Giant. I noticed while bathing her that she had broken feathers on her wing and has appeared getting slightly worse. If anyone has a soultion to fix or knows what is wrong please let me know.

P.S. My Ameraucana Easter Egger hen won 1st and Grand Champion in my local competiton! She is heading to the forthworth stock show next!

Your hen may be molting. All of my hen molt at least once a year or two.
