We are a first time chicken family, with four sweet little babes. Our white leghorn is beginning to show the smallest of crowns. Is it possible for a pullet to be showing a crown this early? I will be heartbroken if she turns out to be a he, because we can’t have roosters where we live.

how old is the chicken in question? can you take pictures? Leghorns are known to have very large combs, so it could be a pullet.

Chickens have combs when they hatch. Photos and age are required for people to evaluate whether the comb is too developed for its age to be a pullet.
