Well, my Bantam is still alive this morning! Her eye is not foamy, though it does water a bit still. Her eyelid wasn't as swollen either!

Unfortunately her little voice is worse than ever - she barely "talks", when she used to make noise all the time. When she does make a sound, it's a bit wheezy and croaky. Her breathing also occasionally has a few wheezy noises, though it sounds like that is only when she breathes out. She was content to sit in my hand and be petted and fussed over.

We did put some betadine ointment on her pox lesions that looked the worst, which she did not appreciate. She still has some spunk despite not feeling as well as usual. Her breathing is not labored at all.

One nostril (on the affected eye side) is completely closed....I don't think it's gunky, I think it's swollen by a pox lesion.

I looked in her mouth/throat, and didn't see any spots, just normal pink mucous membranes as usual. I wondered if her swollen nostril was keeping her from making her usual range of noises.

I also gave her (and the other two) some plain yogurt to help with their digestion with the abx. I had never given it to them before, so was unsure if they would enjoy it. Well, they all LOVED it! Even my sick baby was right there, literally gulping it down!

I am going to fix her a boiled egg yolk, too. Should I just mash it and give it that way, or should I mix it with plain yogurt?

Thanks!
