It's 80 degrees and all my chickens (2 1/2months old) are sleeping tightly in a corner and they are all panting. I took the roosts out yesterday because one of them has a slipped tendon and can't roost and I didn't want her to be alone on the floor or have them jumping down on her. I just put a roost back up and put some of them on it but they went back down to the pile. I have a fan blowing directly on them. Will they stay there and die of heat stroke?

They should be comfortable at 80 degrees and don't need a fan on them at that temperature. Young chicks sometimes sleep huddled together instead of on a roost just because they prefer it til they are a little older.

Have they been eating and drinking during the day, and running around and playing?

They ended up separating and are fine. I worry too much sometimes :/ New chicken mommy, you know.:). Thank you.
