Thank you! I bought hatching eggs specifically for the color - they were local and I jumped on the opportunity because shipping can be so hard on eggs (I had two groups of eggs shipped from FL last spring that arrived smashed and scrambled). The parent stock of these birds are beautiful, too, and they're some of the calmest and friendliest BCM I've raised.

Hope you get some great eggs! I love olive eggs, too. I have a Marbar (FBCMxCL) that lays a pretty pastel olive egg that's a colorful addition to a basket (middle egg below, toward the end of her laying cycle so a bit lighter than normal). I'm hoping for avocado hues from my OEs someday!

That’s my issue with wanting FBCM.. not sure where all I can get some good lines for egg colours in ON Canada. I’m worried about shipping eggs for that reason and because of the strain it puts on the eggs that’s I’ve read on here. I need to do a lot more research though!

Your basket has such cute colours in it!! I get one blue that’s like yours and one lighter and one almost green like. That pastel green colour is a nice shade, it suits the baskets pastel theme
I currently get all light coloured eggs so the darker the hue the more interested I am it seems! Ooh avocado hues ... with brown speckles ... I need to stop day dreaming about egg colours

I hope you can find some good lines there! Thanks - I love the variety of colors, and more dark shades are welcome in my basket, too. Olive w/brown speckles would be fabulous! I get some green with brown speckles from my Silverudd's Blue. So many colors to be had..!
