would a rabbit kill a chicken?

Would either a rabbit or a sheep ever partially gnaw on a chicken's foot, whether dead or alive? Any chacce of this whatsoever?

It always possible. When I hear of chewed toes I generally think rats. They will chew on toes of roosting birds if they can reach them.

I have a couple wild rabbits that have made their way into the run. They hang out with the chickens and everyone gets along. Eventually I will get them out of there but for now they seem completely happy. One time I was counting chickens in the coop at night..1,2,3,4 chickens and rabbit. I did get it out of the coop, but it clearly wanted to stay.

They do have a powerful kick but I don't see them going up to a chicken and kicking them. That would be odd

lol sorry the title made me laugh, sorry you lost your bird though, a rabbit might do it by mistake because they love to run around and play and might step on a smaller chicken to death? but chickens outrank rabbits and usually boss them around and break up rabbit fights lol

also if rabbit was scared in a panic like saw a hawk or dog outside it might start flipping out and if its a big ten pound rabbit might kill chicken. But ive heard of roosters killing rabbits not vice versa. I saw a raven catch a rabbit a rabbit the other day working in pair.

Yes a rabbit will kill and eat birds. They are rodents, they need protein and have no issue what so ever with gnawing bone.
Just because one is accustomed to seeing them peacefully nibbling clovers does not mean they always do so.

I don't think rabbits are rodents.
But yeah, they might look so cute and sweet, but they can also be pretty vicious. I had a pet rabbit that killed and ate our pet guinea pig, so I would think killing a chicken is also a possibility.

Yes maam they certainly are rodents, people don't like saying it out loud but they are.:)
They are classified as Lagomorphs but that's only due to an extra set of teeth and minor skeletal differences.
