They refer to what I am thinking of although I still think minerals were more important than protein. Only legs were being consumed in the Scotland situation.

I agree. I remember watching something about that. Something about the island not giving the right minerals. So the deer turned to the birds.

If eating for protein, then entire bird would be consumed. If cherry picking for meat, then breast. If going after high mineral with lesser meat, then legs and head.

Hmmm...Yes I'm sorry but if they were housed together and it was a Male Rabbit it will try to breed Chickens and rabbits breed a bit aggressive too. All rodent types eat meat if available.

I feel bad for that guinea pig who was living with a serial killer. .

Yeah, that poor little piggie didn't stand a chance. It happened years ago. I left home, rabbit secured (I thought) in his cage and guinea pig in his enclosure, no top because they are so easy to confine. Came home to the rabbit cage open and rabbit in the guinea pig cage. I looked all through the house, top to bottom and could not find the guinea pig. Went back to his cage to look again and found his mostly skeletonized corpse in the bedding!
