would a rooster help with an aggressive hen?

i read a book that a guy had written about his experience raising chickens and he had in there that he had an overly aggressive hen that when the rooster came he helped her learn her place and she didn't bully the other hens anymore.

I have a hen that has been beating up the other two and I was wondering if I got a rooster if it would help. hope someone could help if they have any idea if it would help.

Adding a rooster might help with that hen's behavior, but one rooster with only three hens could lead to other problems.

yeah i thought of that i would only have room for two more hens. would five hens be enough for one rooster?
