Would anyone else spend $2500 for orthopedic surgery on your chicken's leg?

No, not even an extremely rare breed like mine.
I do have a friend that spent $3,000 on vet bills and physical therapy on a pet turkey hen that my friend let stay broody too long. After 3k the bird still died.
