but since this is the first batch raised on Nutrenas Nature Wise 18% All Flock I thought it might have something to do with the fact that this 10 wk old pullet squated for me this afternoon. I had been cleaning the coop and kind of playing with them. I picked up this pullet that had been picking on my feet, petted her a bit and put her down when she squated the "squat".

I scratched her back a little and she did the shake the hens do after they have been bread.

I was totaly unprepared for this. She's a BO and only 10 wks. old. What do you all think of this.

Well they start squatting right before they lay. Also they squat when they are MUCH younger sometimes to "bow to you."

They show that you are the dominant chicken. You are the boss.

I just pet my chickens and say good girl.
