I know that DE works for lice and mites. So what about ants. I have about 12 ant hills on our property. The biggest one is about 5 feet wide by 2 feet high. I'm so sick getting bit by them every year. I try to poison them every year but it never seems to get rid of all of them.

Yes DE kills ants. I put it on my ant hills and it takes care of it

I've used it with some success. It is labeled for use on ants. I think some ant beds here just go too deep, even sevin has its limits. The best results I've had were when I treated not only the ant bed, but also the areas where ants tend to frequent, like my feed room or where the trash can lives. You will have to reapply regularly. In summer, I apply almost weekly. Also, rain tends tends to wash it all away, so plan accordingly.
