Would Guineas protect chickens

I just wanted to say my mother has 1 guinea and chickens that all sleep in the same coop. she got hers as a day old with other chickens maybe that helped? the guinea and chickens get along real well. her guinea is also tame to people she can walk in the coop and hold him/her without a problem.

i guess i am guilty of spending more time with hatching and broody and brooders!

i am so new to all this and dove in feet first! i guess what they all have going for them is that i LOVE animals!
