Would like to know...

Definitely looks like a cockerel with that red comb and dad red on the shoulders. If it is a cockerel, it looks like it's under 12 weeks. The male saddle feathers aren't visible yet. I could be wrong, but it looks like Swedish Flower Hen.

I was just coming back in to change my answer to Swedish Flower as well...as I kept thinking on it.

Speckled Sussex cross?

Look at those thick legs. Maybe crossed with a Red Ranger?

Just a guess, not a pro...

I'd also guess 12 weeks old or so, and a cockerel.

Am really hoping it's a hen! Super sweet little one. Loves following us around and sitting on our laps.

It looks like a fluffy Red ranger or Dixie Rainbow rooster to me, They have that same color pattern, but no idea where the fluff comes from. I am guessing there is a 92.3% chance I am wrong on the breed.

Todd, cause you seem eager to learn about these things....

A speckled Sussex is basically a mahogany bird. The speckling is recessive, so if you cross it to a non-speckled bird, it's basically like crossing a red bird with whatever the other parent is. If you cross them expecting pretty, wild color patterns like this, you're sorely disappointed. Ask me how I know

. Plus, Sussex have white skin/legs, which is dominant over yellow, so a part Sussex bird would have white/pink legs.

I'm also thinking cockerel, and either Swedish Flower Hen or a very colorful mixed breed.
