This is a Silkie crossed with a Golden Comet

It was the only one to hatch of 7 eggs... so we named it Uno.

We are anxious to see how it feathers out! Looks like the skin of a Silkie, but with 4 toes. Shape of a Silkie comb, but color of a Comet Comb. The head shape reminds me of Comet, while the body/chest reminded me of the Silkie. I can't wait to see how she (hopefully!) turns out. While it's hard to see... her head it is a little red as is the tip of her tail feathers, while her body is white... at least for now.

We found the egg to this one in the yard. We think she is RIR crossed with game cock. These are pics of her as she grew:

I don't have any pics of her as an adult, but she basically looks a little bigger than that last pics and her tail feathers are larger. She laid 3 eggs and promptly went broody. We gave her more eggs and she hatched them all out last week. She now has 2 babies that look JUST like she did when she was a chick, a Silkie cross (hers) and we also gave her a Cochin chick.

Momma hen (named Rotisserie) is technically my inlaws, who live next door, and they are going to build a coop soon. They wanted a Cochin too, so we added a Cochin to her baby mix and she took it just fine. Of course, in 2 months it will be as big as she is.

Dash-WCB Polish hen X Mille Fluer d'Uccle roo. Very aggressive even though I still loved him, none the less the neighbor got him and he became a slaughtered dish a few days later.

But I still miss him.
