Would my pekin and mallard cross?

Ok so im getting baby ducklings the 27th 1 male mallard 3 females and a female pekin.So ive heard that mallards have good meat and that pekins grow really fast,would this be good to cross or is it a no-no.Would they even mate?I just thought of this,I wasnt when I ordered them.Im just wondering if you say no I wont just seeing.

Anyone?I cant post this in the duck forum becouse I know lots of the owners raise ducks as pets so theyll probably kick me out lol

It will happen--just give him time. That cross will probably produce a black duck with some white markings depending on how pure the linages of your ducks are. They will be fast growers and tasty.

Someone a couple years back brought me a mallard drake that was severely injured-after being cleaned and stitched up (23 stitches) it was just 4 days before he was mounting one of my ISA Brown hens.

Nothing tried is nothing gained!

Don't plan on your pekin going broody. You may have to put her fertile eggs under a mallard hen to brood.
