Would someone look at theses feed labels and double check me?

I was told a little bit too much protein is OK...UNTIL their wings start growing. Then its supposed to be important to not have it be too much then.

I think that's around week 4? Maybe someone can confirm that. Or was it week 5?

Around when the wings are growing then you want the protein to be right to avoid that angel wing problem and some other issues.

If one protein is 16.5% and the other is 20%, then you'd just have to go with roughly half from each. Then you could also at the end of the day do any other treats you want for kicks, rewards, or just live vegetable matter in other areas. Some people like to give them peas every now and then (not frozen).

Hope that helps.

But I have my own questions too, like maybe letting them have a wing problem is OK, and makes you not to have to clip their wings? Maybe someone can speak up on that.

Many of us start our poultry out on Purina Flock Raiser or Nutrena All Flock and never have a bit of trouble with angle wing, and it's 20% protein. Leaning more and more to genetics and diet but not the diet that they should be getting.

Yes high protein feed can contribute to angel wing. You can cut your feed with grains, uncooked oatmeal works great. Dont cut their feed with layer feed as the extra calcium will be hard on their kidneys.
