So i know this has been asked and answered before- Silver laced wyandotte hens over a gold laced wyandotte rooster.
From what i red, it's sex-linked? Hens will be gold and roosters silver but carrying gold?
But, by gold, will they be laced, same with the rooster.
Will the lacing still be present regardless?
What about the down coloring as chicks, could they be auto-sexed?
I'm picking up 3 silver laced pullets Saturday, only 2 months old, but I'm trying to consider pairing the wyandottes together, even though the color doesn't match.
Would it be helpful in determining hen from rooster?
My gold laced rooster is around 4½-5 months old.

First three
I’m a bit confused about the last one.
There's two more questions. Would the chicks be auto sexed at hatch based on the silver or gold coloring or would it only show when they get their feathers? And would it help me distinguish who is a hen and not a hen?
