I seem to have pretty typie Orpingtons (see my BYC page) that carry some unusual color genes, I have been told that the following;

My question is would there be any interest in some unusually non-recognized color pattern Orpingtons?

Well, I guess that answers that.

Not really--some folks are on teh forums only during the day, others only in the evening, and I believe with a holiday weekend a lot of folks won't be on at all.

Personalyy, I am not a fan of orpingtons, but in general I am interested in unusual patterns. You might want to include a photo of your bird(s).

I just saw this post. I am already working on a mottled project and just trying to get my blues to show quality. Someone else might be interested though that is not working on something else.
What are you trying to create color wise.?

I agree with the photos so people have an idea of what you are talking about in terms of coloring.
I have orpingtons and I do like unusual colors but you need to include more information I think for people to be interested.

I will try to get some photo's taken today.
To be honest I am not sure because I don't fully understand the genetics going on here.

I do like the idea of the Black Copper, the pencil/partridge color pattern is also very pretty.

I'm not a breeder or a shower (or a show-er, for that matter!), but I think your birds are lovely! I'm a first timer--have five lovely 12 week olds--but have grown really fascinated by the different color combos I've seen as I've been researching and learning (and watching my two EE girls grow up). If I had space, I'd love to add a couple of yours...

I'll bet the interest is out there!
Good luck!
