You'd need a barred female for the chicks to be sexlinked.

Yes, I forgot about the RIR x RIW, etc. You can make sexlinks with a barred female and many different roosters. Had Silver Phoenix x BR that were sexlinks.

I took a look at the second link and I found some things that are not correct. The one thing that really bugs me is "the white leghorn can be used to make a sex linked chickens" . In the United States white leghorns can not be used in any sex linked cross.
