Whoops. The little modifiers are easy to miss.

I do think that any strong unpleasant stink is a sign of bad management, for almost any animal.

Our ducks’ portable pens did get to stinking several times when it was too muddy to move them.

True that management plays a big part....but ducks do make a wet mess, so can be harder to manage...I think a lot of the stories I've read have been in the brooder phase
