Would this be considered a Splash Silkie?

My buff silkie has a comb like that... its HUGE I'm afraid its like a tumor or something!?

That is a modified rose comb--no pea comb gene. I don't like combs like that, but it is not a DQ.

He's not a grey. He is either a black with silver leaking through in his hackles, or there are some other genes that are showing, making him look almost mottled. Do you have a photo from the front rather than the back?

The comb type is not incorrect; it is just larger than most. The points make it look odd,but there is not really anything wrong with it. Most breeders that I know would not want to use him as a breeder. His color is not a Gray. He is the product of mixing colors. I get ones like him from my mixed color flock. I would say he is a Black exhibiting a silver gene. The dominant rooster in my flock has similar coloration.

He looks like my Gin did, black bleeding mottling. I couldn't use him so I sold him.
