I think around 20-22 weeks of age, depending on the season and amount of light they get.


Erm... I have no idea how old they are, but they're just becoming fully feathered, so a few weeks probably.

So fuzzy! I love 'em.

im just gonna wait till i have my silkie's and when thay are old enuf i try get them 2 sit on duck eggs

You probably won't have to work on getting them to go broody, just wait till they are old enough to be laying eggs and leave them some.

okay my mother's friend said put golf balls in the nest and when thay go broody put the eggs under them

This is really good, using a silky will be so much easier than an incubator or even a broody duck!!

How old are the silkys now? Will you have a separate pen for them?

im gonna have them when thay are about 5 6 weeks old not long now

yeah thay will be in a diffrant pen
know if 1 dose hatch out some duck eggs do i have 2 separate the other 1 or will thay be ok together ?
