I bought this blue lotion at my local feedstore its a antiseptic for wounds I believe for horse and dog. I want to apply this to my chicken comb and near herbeak to treat what I believe its a sore from pecking. And also some of my hens have fowl pox developing and want to treat with these too. On the label states that not for use on animals intended for food. I wont eat my chickens only there eggs. Any ideas if its safe to use on chickens?

Yes, it is commonly used on chickens especially to hide wounds and prevent pecking. It is the same as BluKote, containing alcohol and gentian violet, an antifungal and antibacterial.
Okay sounds good will start to use it in the morning
