I'm not good at genetics. So forgive me if this is a dumb question.

If I breed a golden sebright cockerel with a purebred black split ameraucana, would the results be EE's? They would have rose combs. Would they have green legs? The females would lay light blue eggs.

So would that make them EE's?

EE's are not a true breed, but mixed breed from the blue egg laying breeds, usually Araucana or Ameraucana mixes. Your momma being an Ameraucana is what makes your mixes easter eggers.

Thanks! That's exactly the answer I was looking for!

They will have walnut, not rose combs as they will have one copy of pea comb from mama and one copy of rose comb from papa. Since both breeds have slate legs, the offspring will also.
