Would this quail waterer work for hens?

Hi all, I am new to raising chickens and we are researching waterers and feeders. Would the below product work for hens? It says it's for quail but it looks appropriate for hens too I was thinking. Anyone use this type before? Apparently it prevents the trigger from overfilling the cup. Any thoughts in general? Thank you!!

First of all, without a location in your profile, I have no idea, if you live on the Equator, or Yukon territory.
These cups would not work if you encounter any kind of freezing. even light.
They only half fill, so that part does not impress me at all.
Consider horizontal nipples. They can be on a heated waterer (container) during winter time. (that is if it applies to your climate)
Chickens learn to use horizontal nipples easily. :thumbsup Vertical nipples are OK also, but not good for winter time. The water cup styles, are just problems waiting to happen, in my opinion. Leak/freeze/crack off/etc.

Very good points, about the possible cold climate.
Have you checked out his YouTube review?
I ordered some myself from China offa fleabay (not sure if I'll ever see them) 😁
They will be fine for chickens. So long as you check them regularly and take heed of the advice from @cavemanrich

Thanks for the feedback! I finally added info to my profile. I am from upstate NY in the Capital Region.
