A neighbor has a double vanity with cabinet from their bathroom. I was thinking I could make this into a coop........ any thoughts on this? It sure would be nice to reuse it!

I'd think you could make a small shelter for a tractor or similar out of it- maybe attach a run, and some wheels? Or if it's made out of 'real' wood you could take it apart and recycle the wood...

a lot of these will fall apart if wet in a few rains.Lazy DH left a nightstand drawer in the back and it fell apart within a month.

The wood got soft and the corners fell apart. It collapsed.

If it's made of solid wood then you might be able to do it, especially if you break it up for parts. However, if it's made of chipboard or MDF then it will fall apart in the rain as dixygirl said.

I thought about doing something like this too, I think it might be small, and could house 1-2 chickens at most, but it could work.

(it also depends how big the cabnets are though.)

Remember to give each chicken AT LEAST 4 square feet of space inside the "coop"
