Would this work for 2-3 bantams? I saw this same exact thing at a reptile store I frequent for $75.

Probably - I keep 3 bantams in a large dog crate and they have plenty of room. But they do like to roost, so maybe something taller would be better. I put wood slats across the bars in the dog crate and they are always roosting.

That would work well. It's something that you can move around the yard so they will always have something new to peck at. But yes, putting a roost in the covered part with a little nest would be ideal. You can make a little wooden box for a nest, or I've even seen people use milk crates.
