How old is your chicken? From my understanding chickens molt in the fall, but not if they were hatched the same year. Your chicken looks like it could be an EE.

Hi, Miss Penny is an EE. My BamBam looks just like her. BamBam lays blue eggs. Miss Penny is a beauty even if she is having a bad hair (I mean feather) day!
