Would you buy "Swedish Pekin" Eggs/Ducklings?

That sounds like an interesting mix. I have no problem with mix breeds only because it sometimes happends with my ducks. Let me know how it works out!!

I love my mutt Uno (half khaki/half buff), but have decided not to hatch out any from my rouen drake and my ducks. Not because I am anti-mutt, but because (from what I understand) egg laying traits are passed on by the father. I want high qty egg layers.

A runner/khaki or Welsh Harlequin/buff or similar combo would be fine with me because they are all good egg laying breeds....as long as the drake had those good egg laying genes.

As pointed out in previous posts, there is going to be a group of people who will only want pure breds and another group that just wants a duck. You will have to see what kind of potential customer you have in your area.

I hate saying it, but i do know there is a rather good market for Meat Ducks and from what i've read the mix will make for nice meaty ducks.

BUT! there is also a lot of people around that want ducks for pet/ornamental/or egg laying purposes. all my old BS hens were good layers so maybe they wiull be good dual purpose birds without being Mules!
