Would you choose ducks over chickens?

DUCKS! They hardy little things and will stay in your yard. they are friendly, trainable and social. They can be messy (especially duckligs!) but they arent much work and are worth what little effort it takes.
May I recomend Runners?
Runners are great layers, foragers (thats what they were bred for. laying and foraging.) and all around funny little things! mine are super friendly. The come running when they hear my voice. They love to sit on my shoulders and snuggle.
(sure i'm a bit biased on when it comes to runners being that I'm a runner mommy as it is

duckies! had chickens for years. Now have ducks, didn't like that chickens would peck one another, got more illnesses, needed lots of bedding, seemed more fragile. Got my runners and mini ducks and just love them. Funny as heck, jsut hose out their pens, can let them out to graze (the runners) and watch them . Not always in a pen. don't have to worry about runners flying off. Tall enough the airbone pedators ignore them. Seem friendlier, chickens never tried to trip me.....

and I like puddles!!!!!Funnier than chikens too!!!!!!!!!
