Would you order from here?

I don't know, there are probably lots of reasons people would intentionally mix breeds. The number one reason is probably for hybrid vigor. A lot of people in the past (and now as well) mixed breeds because they were breeding for utility. They had a certain trait, or set of traits, they were breeding for like egg production for example. A lot of the duck breeds (and I mention ducks because that is one of the things the breeder mentions on their site that they breed) were developed by people that were breeding for production and some almost had a disdain for hobbyists or people that bred for show. They were very utility focused. This is how some of the most popular breeds today, like the Khaki Campbells, were developed- by mixing several breeds and selecting for a trait (in this case egg production).

It is very easy to set up a site like that. It looks like they are just starting out to me. The site isn't very professional. Of course, that doesn't mean they won't have nice, well cared for birds.

There are so many breeders on BYC, with good reputations, I would just find someone here.

IMHO, they are pretty expensive for mixed breed babies.

IMHO, this doesn't look like a 'hatchery'. This is a back yard breeder with a mixed flock who occasionally sells some birds. Now, there isn't anything inherently wrong with that, but when someone claims to be a hatchery, when they clearly are not, it makes me wonder.

Plus, I don't know that I'd buy from any hatchery whose masthead was a picture of hawks circling over an orchard. Just sayin'.

i dont know if i like how some of the scentences are structured, reminds me of a scam i have seen that is not translated into english very well. do you know the type i mean?
like she sys the wants to "strain" a certain point, instead of stress. '
i might be reading too much into it. i also think its weird that they dont sell chicks at easter for any reason, but will sell hatching eggs.
its easy to set up a site like this, and they may be just back yard breeders, which is fine, but they are not a hatchery.

I can understand breeding mix breeds for a purpose, but they dont seem to have one.
I thought their prices were a bit high and I also wondered about the straight run "POL" birds.
I also think they are a backyard breeder and not a hatchery, but with them claiming to be a hatchery, it makes me wonder about them

I think instead of POL they should have just put adults or sexually mature birds.
I personally would not buy from them. If I wanted mix breeds or less-than-SQ birds, I'd just go to a hatchery like Meyer, McMurray, Ideal, etc.
Also, 'Standard Old English Game Bantams'...what???
