Would you incubate an egg like this? I can’t scratch the poop off and I’m not comfortable washing it.

As long as you'r incubator is clean I don't see any good reason why you couldn't wash the egg.

Is because the main reason you do not wash eggs is because the natural antibacterial coating aka the bloom keeps the egg protected. If the incubator has properly been disinfected, then there should not be a direct threat of a bacterial infection.As long as you'r incubator is clean I don't see any good reason why you couldn't wash the egg.

Oh, gotcha! No, not really. Just luke warm water is fine. When I wash an egg I just run it under the sink water and use a brush to light scrub it. I wouldn't use any soap on it, just water and light abrasion should be just fine.Sorry if my question was not posed well. Should I wash the egg in water that is warmer than it is?
