Wounded by a rooster

Rooster has to leave - one way or another. Never a good reason to keep a bad roo. It's a buyers market out there, many decent roos looking for homes either at low prices or free. Get that tetanus shot even a lot of drugstores have health care sections where they offer shots and vaccinations for many things. Even if your wound bled, you still should have the shot. Tetanus is nothing to fool around with.

@tevepaughs,2015, I hope you got over the pekers poke. Did your doc put you on antibiotics?

I got spurred tonight 4.22.2022 at birds bedtime, less than an hour later my knee is swollen twice it’s size, pain from my calf to my groin & im a high tolerance kinda person. My physician said for me to take antibiotics for 3-5 days, as pain is all the way into my groin area. This hurts worse than any of my sports injuries I have EVER ever had. Hope you made it through. Any others with recommendations?

Monitor closely, and seek medical attention if things worsen.

Yes, on antibiotics for 5-10 days, my recovery is scary slow, never had anything like it. Only sports injuries so I’m freaked: which is very unusual for me. I hope someone reads it and helps guide me because even my doctor is unaware. Said he’s hear of some but never this fast or this bad, so lucky me.lol(NOT), but I think I’m 10-15/20%, I think. I can at least stand, potty without oops 🙊 and I’m still able to text, my voice came back, the swelling is 2-3 times bigger than my other knee, but I can stand, so I’ll stop complaining because I’m alive. I just knew to take an antibiotic even though I’d normally be the last person to or I don’t even give our birds drugs, nothing all natural, very fortunate that way. But now we’ll, it’s late and I’m excited that all of y’all care so much for humans as much as our critters. Night. Thanks again and if you hear or know of anyone experiencing anything like this let me know. I want to get back out with my layer babes…
